2027 Rolls Royce Spectre Series II: Electric Luxury Gets Even More Absurd
There are luxury cars, there are ultra luxury cars and then there is the Rolls Royce Spectre.
The all electric Rolls Royce coupe already looked like something a billionaire would order after accidentally buying a private island during lunch.
Now the 2027 Spectre Series II is here and somehow it is even more over the top.
More range, more power, more hand-crafted detail and more reasons for ordinary vehicles to quietly question their existence.
Quick Take
The 2027 Rolls Royce Spectre Series II adds more range, improved charging, increased power and even more extravagant interior craftsmanship to an already outrageous electric luxury coupe.
More Range For Cross-Continent Caviar Runs
One of the biggest upgrades comes from improved battery technology.
Rolls Royce says the updated Spectre can travel up to 390 miles on the WLTP cycle, which should translate to roughly 326 miles in the United States.
Charging speeds have also improved by around 14 percent, making long-distance luxury cruising slightly more convenient.
What That Means
The Spectre can now travel farther between charging stops, giving owners more time to discuss yacht maintenance, hedge funds and whether the helicopter should be repainted.
More Power Because Apparently It Needed More Power
The standard Spectre now produces 592 horsepower and 748 pound-feet of torque.
That is already more than enough to move a nearly three-ton luxury coupe with disturbing ease.
For buyers who believe "enough" is merely a suggestion, the Black Badge version raises output to 670 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque.

Most Powerful Rolls Royce
The Black Badge Spectre becomes the most powerful production Rolls Royce ever built, proving that silent luxury can still arrive with unnecessary amounts of torque.
The Interior Is Basically A Five-Star Hotel Lobby
Rolls Royce did not stop at performance.
The updated Spectre introduces new interior materials including Duality Twill fabric, which requires up to 2.6 million stitches to complete.
There is also a new perforated leather design, Brindled Walnut wood trim and an illuminated fascia featuring more than 8,000 individual lights.

The Luxury Level
Most vehicles have dashboard lighting. The Spectre has what appears to be a private galaxy built into the cabin.
A New Color Called Ethereal Blue
The updated Spectre also introduces a new paint option called Ethereal Blue.
Naturally, this is not simply blue.
At this price level, regular blue would be entirely unacceptable.
The car also receives redesigned 23-inch wheels, because nothing says understated elegance like wheels large enough to make a compact car nervous.

Color Drama
Calling it blue would be too ordinary. Ethereal Blue sounds far more appropriate for a vehicle that costs more than several houses.
The Price Tag Remains Delightfully Absurd
Rolls Royce has not officially announced final pricing for the Spectre Series II.
However, expectations are that it will exceed the current Spectre's starting price of nearly $400,000.
Black Badge models will likely push well beyond that figure once customization begins.
Buyer Reality
At this price point, buyers are not comparing monthly payments. They are deciding which paint color looks best parked next to the helicopter.
The Bottom Line
The 2027 Rolls Royce Spectre Series II proves that ultra luxury manufacturers play by an entirely different set of rules.
While most automakers celebrate adding a larger touchscreen or a few extra horsepower, Rolls Royce added more range, more torque, millions of stitches and thousands of lights.
Is any of it necessary?
Absolutely not.
But that is exactly the point. Nobody buys a Rolls Royce to be practical. They buy one because practical cars do not come with 8,000 lights in the dashboard and enough torque to make silence feel expensive.
